This is the classic burrito SF eatery.  You don't like this place, then you are not a native.  This is not tacolicious or anything Trendy.  Just eat, order and enjoy.  So happy to have this location near my office despite all the current heavy construction on all sides.

If you use Mealpal, they are one of the favorites.  Their tortas, burritos and tacos are always big sellers

I hate writing negative reviews for businesses, but this is hands down the worst burrito I've ever had in the bay. I truly wish I read the reviews before grabbing a super carne asada burrito here. I would compare it to a frozen del monte burrito, but that might be an insult to del monte. When my sad, soggy and wilted burrito folded in half over my hand, I knew I made a crap decision. Trying to eat it was basically slurping sauce and mushy rice from a tortilla. If soggy burritos are your thing, you could probably get something at 7/11 for cheaper.

The price point is very cheap, but you'll be grateful to spend a few extra bucks for better taquerias around.

Anyone who maintains that this is 'native San Francisco Mexican food' has either never been to a real taqueria (like Pancho Villa or Cancun in the mission), or just thinks sloppy, disgusting, and SF Giant's themed equates to 'authentic'.

The service is terribly slow (they somehow can't figure out the assembly line concept of a taqueria -- think 20 minutes for a burrito), portions are small and the overall quality is like bad buffet food crammed together in a box.

And if you're going to eat in, be ready for a dark, dirty, and overall creepy cafeteria vibe. Not sure how this place survived in the financial district -- apparently it might be closed. As other reviewers have noted, this isn't related in any way to the excellent and inexpensive El Farolito in the Mission.

Extra star because it's *kind of* cheap (at least for the area). But not at all worth it. Stay away, stay far away.

I hauled @$$ over here for lunch with a small group of coworkers.  We decided to head on over around 11:30 to avoid the lunch rush at noon.  Nonetheless, it was busy when we walked in.

    Facts:

    * You head toward the back where there is a large menu posted on the wall to order from.

    * Wait for them to prepare your food.  They'll give it to you, and then you'll head over to the cashier to pay.

    * CASH ONLY.

    * You can avoid the line by ordering ahead of time via services like MealPal.

    Pros:

+ The menu is quite extensive and even features items that are not Mexican, such as hot dogs.

+ My large beef quesadilla was delicious -- Best quesadilla I've ever had.

    Cons:

    - S-L-O-W: For reals, it takes forever to order and for them to prep your food.  Not only does the line get long, but the people behind the counter take forever to cook and prepare everything.

    - I'm not afraid of germs or anything, but I noticed that the lady who prepped my quesadilla did so (and prepped other orders too) with no gloves on her hands at all.  I also saw another lady in the back handling some greens with her bare hands as well.

    - Prices aren't the cheapest here.  For my quesadilla, plus a bottled water, I paid over $10.  I get that this is San Francisco, but still.

They get a solid three stars from me.  Take care of the aforementioned cons (which, to me, all are perfectly doable), and I don't see why this review can't be five stars.

    5 stars all the way

Got breakfast burrito with bacon, pico de gallo, and black beans but all I got is beans, beans, and more beans. Additionally, the burrito is SO WATERY that every time I bit into it, I didn't get the burrito (let alone the bacon), instead I was too busy wiping here and there because the beans and salsa juices are leaking EVERYWHERE from my jeans, my sweater, hands, and even my keyboard! I ordered it with Ritual and almost convinced they ordered me a soup burrito instead of breakfast burrito. Looking at the pictures, there's nothing in there but beans and the juices everywhere. Ew.
